For his Artists Den taping, John Legend chose to highlight the social justice messaging of his latest album, DARKNESS AND LIGHT, by performing at the Riverside Church in Manhattan, the historic location for Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “Beyond Vietnam” speech 50 years earlier. The performance featured a 12-piece band and was preceded by a conversation with author and journalist Ta-Nehisi Coates.
